2011年3月11日の東日本大震災では震災発生の2時間後に当院から3名の先遣隊が仙台へ向かい、計903名(述べ5781名)におよぶ徳洲会グループの枠をこえた国際的な医療支援の基盤をつくりました。
国際協力部ではTMATと連携をとりつつ地域に根差した息の長い国際交流活動をめざしています。
「生命だけは平等だ」という理念を心に刻み、講演会、ペットボトルのキャップ収集による途上国へのワクチン支援、ラオスとの医療交流、千葉在住の外国人との文化交流などを行っています。
Yotsukaido Tokushukai Hospital was set up in November, 2005 as one of the core hospitals for carrying out international cooperation such as disaster medical support by TMAT (Tokushukai Medical Assistance Team).
In case of the Higashi-Nihon Great Disaster in 11 March 2011, 3 members of our hospital went to Sendai 2 hours after the onset. They collected fresh information, leading to developing systematic medical support from domestic and abroad beyond the Tokushukai group: 903 or tonal number of 5781 people joined the activities.
Apart from disaster medical support, international cooperation division aims to carry out grass-root activities and follow the group-philosophy/principle “All living beings are created equal”. The main activities are; 1) open lectures on international cooperation to the public, 2) vaccine support by collecting pet bottle caps, 3) Laos project such as hemodialysis machines donation, human resources exchange, hospital building plan, primary health care project, and 4) cultural communication between foreigners in Japan and hospital staff or local people.
